Shaw’s was established by Eric Shaw as a catering business over five decades ago and served a variety of different clients across Northern Ireland throughout some truly turbulent times. Despite what was going on in Belfast and across Northern Ireland people were still determined to enjoy themselves, socialise, eat and drink and the family business was to be part of a resilient catering industry serving an even more resilient Northern Ireland customer base.

Eric’s son Ronnie branched out into hiring surplus catering equipment to the industry and the catering equipment hire aspect of the business was founded based in Belfast. The catering business still continued until the 1990s when the hiring of catering equipment had overtaken the catering side of the business and Shaw’s Catering became Shaw’s Hire Services.

Today Shaw’s is far more than just catering equipment. We have grown to offer a wide range of equipment, goods and services for hire that can complete any event.

Whether it is a small gathering in Belfast requiring some extra catering equipment to hire or a large wedding in Limavady needing everything from chiavari chairs to champagne glasses we have got you covered.

Ronnie’s son Michael has now joined the business as the third generation and we look forward to a future that can replicate our past success.
